About Me.

I have spent most of the last 10+ years in the Healthcare Security Industry. During this time, I began to realize how much of an affinity I had for computers and how enjoyable it was to work with them. I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business - IT Management in 2019 to complement the Criminal Justice degree I earned in 2008. My family moved to the Jacksonville, FL area in 2019, and it was difficult finding work as a career-changer. So, I returned to hospital security while searching and expanded my knowledge in various computer systems and software through online courses and videos.

I realized how much I enjoyed analyzing statistics for my fantasy sports teams as well as other aspects of my life and began to see data science as a career I could succeed at. One of my employers offered a program to complete a data analysis and visualization certification with the University of Minnesota Online which I finished in 2022. I gained experience with several programming languages and visualization tools including Python, R, JavaScript, and Tableau.

I am excited to utilize these tools in a data analyst role. I am open to new opportunities and would love to discuss any positions that are available. Also, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. See my LinkedIn profile for more detailed information about my skills and certifications.

Family and Fun

My wife and I have three boys and a dog that keep us busy the majority of the time. When there is some free time, I enjoy video/board games, baseball and football, catching up on a backlog of movies and television shows, and reading. I am a lover of all things Star Wars, Tolkien, Harry Potter, and/or anything else fantasy/sci-fi related.
